I’ve not written on my blog for quite a while. I went off the boil writing for 2 reasons. First, I was trying to concentrate my efforts on building my own webpage. Second, I didn’t have as much time to spend going to the cinema. Which meant a lot of the time I was watching films that had been and gone from the cinema, so writing about them felt like retreading old ground.
Recently however, I have been having conversations with a friend about films and books, and he’s remarked about how animated and passionate I get about the subject. He’s right, I do, and I am, and as a result of these conversations I feel like it’s the right time to pick it back up.
I still want to create my own site, I like the idea of having that level of control over the way I display my content. Ultimately, for now, I’m just going to write and chat shit about films and books just because I like doing it.
My only hope is that regardless of the audience, how large or small it is, it sparks someone else’s interest. Maybe even sparks further discussion.
For me though, it’s just the joy of writing.
